Yueniao High Head Micro Hydroelectric
Generator

Impulse
Turbine
Can
produce up to 3KW of power
Operates most efficiently on high head(from 10 to 35 m)
Effective operation with ultra low flow(from 3 to 30 liter/second)
Designed for simple operation & low maintenance
The
turgo turbine was designed for families in remote areas
to produce power for their households easily and inexpensively.
These units have been incredibly successful and today thousands
are installed throughout the world.
These
turbines need very little water flow to run efficiently
and produce significant power out. The standard configuration
uses one nozzle
Water
is collected upstream from the turbine and channeled in
a pipe down to the turbine location. At the turbine, the
water passes through a nozzle, where it accelerates, strike
the turbine runner, and turn a AC single-phase brushless
permanent magnet alternator. A electric load controller
is built on the alternator which stabilizes the voltage
to 110V or 220V to protect electrical appliances during
use. Installation is very simple and explained in the manual.
Once installed there are no running costs and maintenance
costs are very low.

It
is important to keep in mind that output can only be accurately
determined if head and flow measurements are made correctly,
so care should be taken during this process. Two other important
factors in a site assessment are system voltage, and transmission
distance. The voltage and distance the power must travel
can affect the efficiency and cost of your transmission
lines.
